Training: Internal Operations Director (DOI)
Prepare to lead operations on your site in an emergency. Manage the crisis unit, make decisions and coordinate under pressure, and liaise with external emergency services and authorities until a possible handover.
Overview
The Internal Operations Director (DOI) leads operations on site as part of the Internal Operation Plan (POI), until a possible handover to the authorities. This function is decisive: the DOI is the person who decides, coordinates and arbitrates, often in an emergency and under heavy pressure.
This training prepares you to take on the DOI role: manage the crisis unit, make decisions and coordinate under pressure, and communicate with external emergency services and authorities. A practical approach based on scenarios that reflect the reality of a high-risk site.
It usefully complements the training on POI refresher training designed for intervention team members, as well as our training to prepare and conduct fire evacuation drills.
