Training course overview
LPIC-1 is the first professional certification in the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) . It is earned by passing two independent exams, 101 and 102, and demonstrates real-world Linux system administration skills.
This training course specifically prepares you for Exam 102: shell and scripting, desktops and graphical interfaces, routine administration tasks, essential system services, networking fundamentals and security. Exam 102 alone does not award a standalone certification: LPIC-1 is obtained after passing both Exam 101 and Exam 102 (see also our training course Exam 101 ).

Target audience: beginner system and network administrators, support technicians, future DevOps engineers, and anyone preparing for the certification LPIC-1 , ideally after passing the Exam 101.
Prerequisites: no official prerequisites; prior Linux experience helps.
Duration: 2 days (14 hours), certification exam included.
Format: in-person or remote ; inter-company or intra-company sessions.
Price: on request. Student price: -50% upon proof of student status. Prices excl. VAT (training exempt under article 261-4-4°a of the French Tax Code).

The official LPI exam takes place at the end of the training in an approved center (PearsonVUE): Exam 102, 60 questions in 90 minutes.
LPIC-1 certification (Exam 102 passed)
Passing the exam allows you to obtain the LPI LPIC-1 certification (once Exam 101 is also passed), recognized internationally and issued by the Linux Professional Institute.
